Beef gelatin gummies are a favorite snack in our house. They are simple to make, nostalgic, and contain lots of nutrients along with helpful digestive properties. I love to use papaya juice because it aids in digestion but any juice will do because beef gelatin also aids in digestion. Homemade gummies are made from a mix of beef gelatin and juice. Our favorite varieties are tart cherry or cranberry juice with coconut cream.

Why You Will Love Beef Gelatin Gummies
You will love these beef gelatin gummies for so many reasons. They are so simple to make and are done within 30 minutes to an hour. They have many health benefits, are fun to eat and are a great replacement for processed gummy snacks. Kids and adults love them. Beef gelatin gummies are especially beneficial as a bedtime snack. Pro tip, make them with tart cherry juice for extra sleep benefits.
Health Benefits of Beef Gelatin
In this beef gelatin gummy recipe, I use grass-fed bovine beef gelatin. Gelatin is made from cooking collagen and is full of nutrients. The amino acids in beef gelatin, specifically glycine, are crucial for a healthy gut. Glycine is an important nutrient that protects the gut lining and can help to repair leaky gut or holes that form in the gut lining. The gut is connected to immune and brain health, so keeping it healthy is very beneficial for your overall health. There are so many other benefits to eating beef gelatin, a few more of my favorites are:
- Improved skin health and appearance
- Improved digestion, gut health and immune function
- Helping to restore muscle and improves joint function
- Great for pregnancy and other times of increased glycine needs
- Is a great source of protein
Papaya Health Benefits
Papaya’s are beneficial for digestion because of the enzyme papain. Papain can help you to absorb more nutrients from your food along with helping your body to break down protein. Many over the counter digestive enzymes include the enzyme papain. Papayas are also high in antioxidants that can help to fight inflammation. Fighting inflammation in the gut is essential for healthy motility, balanced bacteria and absorption of nutrients. Other health benefits of papaya include:
- helping to reduce bloating
- supports immune function because it is rich in minerals and vitamin C
- supports skin health and collagen production because it is rich in vitamin C

Beef Gelatin Gummy Ingredients and Instructions
- Organic fruit juice
- Organic coconut cream or raw cream
- Unflavored, grass-fed beef gelatin powder
- Sea salt
In a small sauce pan, over low heat, add juice, coconut cream and salt, stirring to combine. If fruit juice isn’t sweet enough for you, you can add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup. Next, lightly sprinkle beef gelatin over top of the liquid, making sure it doesn’t get to clumpy in any one area. Allow the mixture to sit for about 30 seconds the whisk the beef gelatin into mixture. Whisk continuously until the beef gelatin has melted. Fight the urge to increase the heat because it is important that the beef gelatin just gets warm, not too hot. You can test with your finger to see if the liquid is warm and isn’t grainy or tilt the pan to the side to see if you still see grainy parts of gelatin on the bottom. You want the mixture to be warm and smooth. Once the beef gelatin is melted pour the mixture into a small glass container. Allow to cool for a few minutes then cover with a lid and place in the fridge to set. After it sets, this could take 30 to an hour, use a butter knife to cut into squares. Store in the fridge and enjoy within two weeks, if they last that long.
Other Ways to Use Beef Gelatin
- Sprinkle it into sauces for easy/improved digestion
- Stir it into apple sauce for additional protein
- Make homemade marshmallows
- Use a mold and make gummy bears or worms
- Make custards or puddings

I have never heard of these. I think my family will love them (especially my 2 year old!) Thank you for sharing!
That’s a great idea for beef gelatin! I grew up eating gelatin dishes in Germany, they were savory with chunks of meat in them. And we’d slice and eat them cold. Really good! I love this recipe for gummies, more ways to get gelatin into your diet and they do sound like a lot of fun to eat.
It’s never a bad thing to add more gelatin to your diet! Those recipe sound so interesting, I would love to try some.
