Is there anything better than summer? No school, beach days, and best of all, summer fruits. I love them all, but peaches have a special place in my heart. After all, South Carolina is the real peach state! This homemade peach sorbet recipe is incredibly simple and made with just three ingredients. It comes together quickly and makes the perfect refreshing treat for a hot summer day and it’s one the whole family will enjoy.
If you’re just beginning your real food journey, this easy peach sorbet is the perfect place to start. It’s simple to make and a great way to win over your family. I love that it uses only whole food ingredients, no artificial colors, flavors, or fillers like you might find in store-bought versions.
I do love ice cream, but this peach sorbet is just so simple and perfect for a hot summer day. It’s sweet, tangy, and incredibly refreshing. With just a few wholesome ingredients, I honestly think it’s even better than ice cream.

Easy Peach Sorbet Ingredients
Peaches — Choose organic peaches if possible. For this recipe I have used fresh and frozen peaches and both work great. When peaches are in season I like to make this with fresh peaches for extra flavor, just make sure you are choosing the ripest peaches you have.
Water — Yes, you read that right, water is the second ingredient in this easy peach sorbet recipe. Choose filtered if possible.
Vanilla extract — This is really an optional ingredient but I love the way the peaches and vanilla compliment each other, making this recipe just a little bit more enjoyable.

How to Make Peach Sorbet
- If you’re using fresh peaches, start by peeling, slicing, and freezing them. This can take a couple of hours depending on your freezer, so be sure they’re fully frozen I like to freeze them over night. Skip this step if you are using already frozen peaches.
- Once the peaches are frozen, add the frozen peach slices, filtered water, and vanilla extract to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a glass storage container and freeze for about an hour—just until it’s chilled and scoopable, but not solid. Serve in a bowl, top with a dollop of homemade healthy whipped cream for a little extra creaminess and enjoy!
Tips
- For the best flavor choose the ripest peaches you can find, this will help the sorbet to be sweet without the addition of sugar.
- Freeze fresh peaches over night to ensure they are fully frozen, so that the sorbet is not too watery.
- If you store the sorbet in the freezer over night after making it, be sure to remove it and let it sit on the counter for a bit before scooping. Watch it to make sure it doesn’t melt too much.
- Use a glass storage container that is freezer safe to store the peach sorbet. Glass is the best non-toxic option and the sorbet is easy to remove.
- Pair with a dollop of healthy whipped cream, this combo not only add extra creaminess but helps to balance blood sugar levels.
